Israel is Losing its Luster and Support

Support for Israel is falling as sympathy for genocide victims increases.

Donkey cart travels through a war-torn landscape.

[Update: As I release this, there is an alleged agreed upon first stage of a peace deal between Gaza and Israel… perhaps for the reason stated in this blog.]

It only took two years, but sympathies for Palestinians falling victim to mass genocide… is finally outranking support for Israel. The margin is small – only 35% to 34%, within the margin of error – but human decency is slowly prevailing. I felt that sympathy more than 60,000 lives ago.

The war in Gaza has left more than 67,000 Palestinians dead, including over 19,000 children. The images of widespread starvation has caused popular support for Israel to plummet to previously unseen lows. In addition, I can promise you, of all the children who remain alive in Gaza, very few, if any, will have anything less than complete hatred of Israel for the long-term.

Politicians – Democratic and Republican – who would once have bitten their tongues rather than voice the mildest criticism of Israel, are slowly beginning to condemn the non-ending Gaza offensive. Many now admit it’s a genocide, which I have done for over a year and a half.

However, despite all the new alleged heart-felt emotions, nothing has interrupted the billions of dollars in US military aid flowing to Israel year after year. More than once I have stated that the US could stop this genocide in a day, or a week at most. How?

It’s easy. Cut off EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR we send to Israel… IMMEDIATELY! No cash, no weapons, no humanitarian aid, and more important… no “back pay”. Every dollar not paid is a dollar lost, forever!

How does the at-large public feel? A Pew Research Center survey revealed 59% now hold a negative view of Israel. A separate Economist/You Gov poll in August found that 45% of the public believe Israel is committing genocide, and that includes nearly 40% of American Jews. Well, welcome to the world of common human decency. What has taken so long? As for the rest of you, are you the Tin Man with no heart?

Support for Israel is declining among all voter groups – with potential implications in future elections.

One potential candidate, El-Sayed, vying to be Michigan’s Senate representative, stated, “People think, ‘Finally there’s a politician [himself] who’s willing to name the obvious … our tax dollars are being sent abroad to do unspeakable things instead of investing here at home.’ Over the past few years, we’ve watched as life has become more unaffordable. People are struggling to afford everything from groceries to gas to healthcare, watching their schools crumble. So the idea that our tax dollars that could be used to invest in our children here at home are instead being used to destroy other children is beyond the pale for a lot of folks.”

My sentiments exactly. I couldn’t have written it any better. The US has involved itself in Israeli affairs for decades, and the only beneficiary is Benjamin Netanyahu – the world’s new Hitler. I don’t say this often, so pay attention. Young people may not be as world-experienced as the older generations, but even they can see bull crap when it lies out in the open.
